Anyone brew somewhere between 1 and 5 gallons?

I do a lot of 2-3 gallon batches. If I am doing a big beer like the 11% RIS I made or something different like my smoked stout that I know has limited interest I'll go small. I do not need 50 bottles of either one of those. I also can do the smaller batches in my kitchen when it is cold out. The...

My second brew: Kolsch from Brewers Best

Nice work. More tools tend to help smooth the kinks out. As far as the yeast goes depending who you ask you will get both answers. I like to rehydrate mine after I listened to a podcast about yeast counts in rehydrated vs non-rehydrated and they found rehydrating to be better. To each is own so...

    BIAB - Cooler?

You can let it sit without string. I agree with Newwest I use my oven and my 15 gal pot just fits but it holds temps perfectly. I also do the same for my smaller 7 gal pot when I do 2.5-3 gal BIAB batches. It is perfect for being in a small space and I don't have to fuss with temps.

Leak when trying to carb pin lock keg

Make sure to use about 30psi to seal the keg. I put in 30psi then set the regulator to 10-12 to serve and bleed off the excess. Might be worth a try.

    Pumpkin seeds in pumpkin ale??

There is a basic brewing video where they roast them and crush them. They then add them to the mash to add a roast flavor. It seems interesting.

    This months Zymurgy

So I have to brag a little. My wonderful girlfriend created a label for my pumpkin beer. I sent it into Zymurgy for fun and they published it on page 12. I could not be more excited.
