    Stubborn bung

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA OK....if the bung is stuck use some star san as you try to get it off. It will work its way down the side of the bung as you try to pry it out. It will take a little bit, but it works.

    Stubborn bung

I have the same problem when using star san. I put my blow off tube in the bung and shake it around until it is dry. No problems once that happens.

    Adding onto Wort Chiller

To add to a previous post......You need to stir your wort while you are running water through your chiller, especially if the water coming out is still cool. Also, something I did was create a pre-chiller, basically just a smaller IC that I place in ice water to get my tap water chilled to a...

    Rack on top the yeast?

Interesting thought. I don't see why it wouldn't work. I too usually add my dry yeast either to the top or sometime in the middle if I have some help.

    First competition!!!!!!

Sorry....been way too busy. I had an ESB that got a 31 and a Blonde that got a 28.5. All in all I was pleased. Seems my major knock was that I was a little out of style. I knew that going in about the blonde. I added more hops than normal. I like it and I brewed it that way on purpose. I...

    Boulevard brewery tour

I have been a couple of times to the BLVD tour and I thought it was great. They give you a short tour, answer any questions you have, and open their tasting room to you to have as many as you would like before the next tour. They want you to try them all. I really enjoyed myself. Here is a...
