I definately should've pasteurized them better, and maybe pureed them. I think I'm just going to go back to my old method. Use dollar store frozen strawberries, thaw them on the stove top and throw them in the blender. I always thought I was over doing it, but maybe not.

I asked the water treatment folks and they said they dont use chloramine. But who knows.

I had a dream last night that I was at some fancy place with a cookies and cream Scottish ale. I really want to make this now. I was think a stout instead, but any ideas on how to makes this beer? I was thinking a milk stout with a bunch of oreos, but maybe there's a better way.

This was just more of a curiosity. I like messing around with different stuff sometimes. I actually really like the product from Wild Pitch Yeast, but shipping to WA is crazy expensive from them, so I can't really justify placing orders all the time.

I've heard this too. I was just trying to brew without buying another pack, because now I can only find it online for almost 10 bucks a pack. Probably won't brew it for another month, so I'm trying to figure something out by then.
