    Cornhole Board Builds

To those of you using 2x4s and worried about the weight, try using 1x4s instead. There will not be much strength difference (for this application anyway) on the 4 inch side. When framed out correctly and coupled with the 3/4 inch ply you should be able to jump on it without breaking and the...

I want a point and shoot camera

Start by searching Amazon or your favorite place to buy for cameras in your price range. Though under $100 will be tough. $150-200 is a more reasonable expectation. Then go here and look up the model: http://www.dpreview.com/ This site will give you a thorough review of the camera and show...

    Home Theater Help

I have the Monoprice set and highly recommend them for a budget system. I spent under $400 for my whole system and for the price, I couldn't be happier. The Monoprice speakers are $200 and are near identical to the Energy take classics. They sound really good and the sub is solid. I...

    Unlocking a phone

All Verizon LTE phones are sim unlocked. The issue you may run into is the proper wireless bands. Compare the specs of the phone to the specs of the carrier you plan on going to to see if the phone will work on the network.

    Cable/Internet

Look into UBCD4Win Follow the guide to make a bootable recovery disk and then you can save your files with a GUI instead of typing all the commands. If you have trouble creating the CD then just use Hirens BootCD which is already built, just need to burn it to a disk. I recommend the...

    Car Wax

The clay bar is great but time consuming. I use this one: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0002U2V1Y/?tag=skimlinks_replacement-20 For wax avoid the cheap stuff. Use pure Carnauba wax. Applies and buffs out easily. Just use a microfiber cloth to apply/buff. I use this wax...

    Pet Insurance

I signed up for PetPlan about a month ago. Too early to tell if its worth it or not but the pricing is about the same. I'm paying $43/mo with a $200 deductible and 80% reimbursement. I looked at higher coverage and different companies but it was all too expensive. My friends have TruPanion...

    Computer geek friends- help please!

I find that when going for something in that price range it is far cheaper to buy than build. When going for a high end computer then building one is the better option.

    Computer geek friends- help please!

I would not waste time upgrading the old XP machine. You would be far better off with a new one. Some choices: $419 for an decent HP desktop. HP Desktop Or if budget allows, $499 for a good upgrade over the above Dell Desktop

    My Kegerator Build

It does look fantastic. You should be proud of yourself you did a great job on it. I wasn't trying to offend or be a jerk was just trying to be helpful. Softwoods like pine, fir, cedar, etc benefit from a pre-stain conditioner. Hardwoods (oak, maple, etc) do not need it.

    My Kegerator Build

Don't lie to us and say you have no woodworking skills, that looks incredible! One small bit of constructive criticism and I hope I don't come off as an ass but if you use a pre-stain conditioner on the wood before staining, the wood will take the stain more evenly.

    Adirondaks vacation

Most things in the area are weekly rentals. Where in the Adirondacks are you looking to stay? Best advice for a cheap rate it to look at some of the smaller lesser known lakes and avoid larger ones like Lake George. Contact a realty company in the area. The two biggest ones I know of are...
