    Which electric controller?

I created a mash profile with 2 steps. 154 for 60 minutes and 168 for 10 minutes. I set my temperature manually to 154 and then when it reached that, started the mash profile. When it hit the 60 minute mark, the next step started and it hit 168 in a couple of minutes but was in ramp mode for...

    Which electric controller?

Thanks! So lets say I want to do a mash at 154 for 1 hour and then mash out at 168 for 10 minutes. Would I create 2 mash profiles?

    Which electric controller?

Im 2 brews in with the BrewCommander. I don't think you can beat the bang for the buck. There is only one niggle I have with it and that's how the timer works. You can create boil and mash profiles and have each step run for a period of time, e.g. boil for 60 minutes or mash for 60 minutes...

Oxidation when changing blow off cane/airlock

When I've had my beers judged, there has been feedback there is oxidation. I always do a closed transfer so I must be introducing oxygen when swapping fittings or through my airlock when cold crashing. I use blow off canes on my conical fermenters and when I cold crash or close transfer to a...

DIY SS Brewtech Standard Chronical Mount FTSS Chiller Coil Inside

If I was going to do this now, I'd invest in a punch rather than drilling. Just so much cleaner and safer

DIY SS Brewtech Standard Chronical Mount FTSS Chiller Coil Inside

I received the longer thermowell with the lid that comes with the FTSS which is longer because of the lid. I actually went back to the regular thermowell realizing that it made no sense to have the longer one.

    Using a tap for .....water?

i got 4 taps on my beer fridge and rarely have 4 kegs. Wondering if I could hook into the ice maker valve and dispense water. Don’t know what sort of pressure is involved and if it’s a good idea but wondering.

I had that as well went under the scope a couple times. What cleared it up for me was cutting down on stress and stopping ice coffees and chocolate. Beer doesn’t bother me luckily.
