    Couple question on my last batch i brewed

    well I'm pretty new to this as well....but as far as the OG goes..make sure your wort is cooled to 70 degrees before you measure with the hydrometer.Higher temps will give false reading. A buddy of mine was brewing and just adding 'what looked like the right amount of water' to the wort...but...

    Shmaltz Brewing Reunion Ale '11.........local brew...dark imperial ale with cocoa nibs,vanilla and chilipepper.....dark and OHH so tasty!!!. May have to go buy some more before they run out!!LOL

    Not a new brewer YET.

    all I do is search recipes and info every night after work...I've brewed 3 batches in 4 weeks and haven't even had a chance to let them sit for long enough to 'do their thing' properly since the first batch came out so good! definately an addiction!!

    the lid on the primary bucket has a rubber seal...but the plastic in the lid is fairly 'broke in' shall we say.I suppose it could pop off under the right pressure..will have to scavenge up a new one.
