    Recipe Ideas

    Most of the honey "flavor" will ferment out, But I have notice an increase in mouthfeel with the use of honey. Also, depending on the type of honey you choice to use. you have the potential to add floral notes in the nose.

    Blueberry Hefeweisen

    I did a blueberry wheat at the beginning of the summer and used 1 pound per gal and the blueberry flavor was very strong. Tasted great but i was looking for something less intense. When I brew it again I'm scaling back to 1/2 pound per gal.

    Honey Beer - Some Ideas Needed

    All of the honey sweetness and flavor will ferment out. The more honey added the more potentially dry the beer could be. May try adding lactose (milk sugar) or back sweeten with splenda. I would also lower the ibu s if you want to take the "sharpness out".
