I recently did a 1gal test batch that turned out awesome.
I'm ramping up to 5gal and was wondering what it should be classified as. Hard Cider or Apfelwien.
5gal fresh pressed apple juice
3.75lbs wildflower honey
1.5lbs dextrose
Nottingham dry yeast(2 packets)

I just bottled an English IPA that I pitched onto an American Wit cake. US 05 yeast.
Took off in 2 hours, sprayed my ferm fridge out of the blow off tube bottle.
Tasted great at bottling. Will know more in 3 weeks.
I just bottled an English IPA. I forgot to get a FG reading before I added the priming sugar. How much would 5.25oz of dextrose add to the gravity?
5gal batch. FG with priming sugar was 1.016
Or is it not even enough to make a difference?

1 gal of water and a two hour boil, is one of the main reasons that caused that sugar lump.
I always do at least a 2-3 gal boil regardless of the instructions.
The wort boiled off so much water that it turned into that sludge, which solidified when it hit the cold water.
