    What kind of keg?

Now that you say that I think I have seen those before.

    What kind of keg?

Doesn’t the label next to the wire say level sensor? Can’t say I’ve seen that before though. It could also see it be used for a thermowell if someone were to format in it.

    Brewie

Just tapped a NZ Pilsner this afternoon I brewed on the Brewie. I used 100% Mecca Grade estate Pilsner malt....late addition and DH Nelson hops. Wow, I can really tell the difference with this malt over the Briess pilz I was using.....highly recommended. Bit on the pricey side though.

I hear you. Honestly, this is probably my biggest disappointment after brewing on the Zymatic and even my eBIAB system. Picobrew has a large public user database of recipes you can add to your profile and just add ingredients and go. If there are step mashes involved they will already...

    Brewie

Did you buy a Brewie and have a bad experience? Just seems odd to pop into a thread and just go off. Have you been reading the thread since November....issues are being resolved and feedback is mostly positive. Would I be pissed if I had a major issue and the company told me to pound sand...

Not sure why some people need to stop in to troll a thread. I’m 5 batches in, no issues. So far liking it better than my Zymatic. They just need to continue to refine the recipe crafter....the new Z/Zymatic crafter is better....I just use BeerSmith so it’s not that big of a deal.

    Introducing… the Spike FLEX!

I just ordered the cf5. I already had stared building a diy glycol chiller with plans to get rid of my chest freezer. IMO not designing the handles to be used when filled is a glaring oversight of how the majority of end users will use the fermenter. My guess is most folks haven’t bought the...

    High Gravity Custom eBIAB System

Do you reduce your flow when recirculating? Perhaps I’ll give it another go. For IPAs I am using 8-12oz per 5gal batch.

    High Gravity Custom eBIAB System

I have a Jaded CFC so when it comes time to chill or WP, loose pellet hops get clogged at my drain (SS Brewtech trub dam) which is the smallest diameter opening in my system. I have been using a 6"x13" hop basket, it works but doesn't seem like there is enough room for large hop bills. Loose...

Help me decide between Spike CF10 and SSBrewtech Unitank

Yeah, I’m looking at the ss unitank vs cf5. They are about the same price once all the options are added to the cf5

Help me decide between Spike CF10 and SSBrewtech Unitank

Im also in the market. I did notice Ss sells chiller coil extension arms for $25 to get the coil further down in the conical for 1/2 batches. Still leaning toward spike cf5 though.

    Brewie

According to the mfg (Five Star Chemicals), its safe for cleaning food processing areas and is a staple for brewery cleaning (at least in homebrewing). It was a big deal (for some) not to be able to use it in the Zymatic because it would causing premature cracking of the plastic step filter...
