I just got a box of Palisade peaches dropped on my desk & the first thing I thought of was... I bet I can make one hell of a beer from this! So the general consensus from the group is to just cut up the peaches, and throw them in the beer for a couple weeks? I still worry about infection...

It was a dry yeast originally (made a starter out of extract yesterday), but for some reason it hasn't acted like the yeast is health. I don't think I have an issue with contamination, but that is always a possibility I guess. If I wait, will that be an issue to get yeast tomorrow & pitch them?

Long brew day, but after finishing brewing I noticed my starter does not look well at all. No foam, no action, nothing. I am using a stir plate. If I wait till tomorrow when my LHBS opens will my brew still be OK? Should I just pitch & hope for the best?

I ended up going bigger. I stacked two 8' 4x4's on themselves and buried them 2' in the ground. That makes my overall structure height at 14'. It is large! Pictures will come soon when I get a couple more cross braces put on.

Planning on starting the build tomorrow. It will be constructed out out 4x4's 10' above ground level (rest of the support will be buried), and 4x4 cross braces. I took out the multiple rows of hops to keep the pictures simple.

I harvested yeast from my last batch. I put it in jars and stuck it in the fridge. Well the yeast froze somehow. I took it out and let it thaw some and then put it back in the fridge, this time not pushing the door completely closed, so the yeast got to room temp. Now it is back in the...
