1/2 Sack Rice Hulls (25 lbs) Philly Area

Bought a sack of rice hulls at our grain buy and I filled 2 huge tupperware containers with them so I have enough for 2 or 3 years. If anyone could use the second half of the sack I'm asking for $20 or I'd be willing to trade for something else.:mug:

Pin Lock Keg Valves - Philly Area

It cost about 9 bucks each. I ordered the parts from home brewing.org in MN. You have to Dremel out groves in a spark plug socket to remove pin locks. That was the most time consuming part maybe a half hour.

Pin Lock Keg Valves - Philly Area

I just converted 4 Pin Lock Cornys over to Ball Lock. I have the 4 sets of valves for anyone who wants to come get them. You can have them for a couple bottles of your homebrew. Fun to try other brewers work.

    Too early for secondary???

Too late this time I threw in some yeast. Hopefully it'll be fine. Next time no secondary and learn to be patient. LOL

    Too early for secondary???

Thanks. I just changed it. What wouldn't you want in primary? My one LHBS says to always use a secondary. The other says you don't have to. Going forward I won't use them. Since it was an Imperial IPA I pitched more yeast anyway. I rather make sure it's fermented. Mike

    Too early for secondary???

Would it heart to throw in a tube of 001? My concern was that it was big grain bill

    Too early for secondary???

I think I better throw in some Wyeast Wlp 001

    Too early for secondary???

Do you think I should throw some more yeast in and let it sit? The funny thing is I knew not to do it but followed the software blindly.

    Too early for secondary???

Brewed an IPA on Saturday and Beersmith calls for the 4th day to transfer into secondary and dry hop. The krausen hadn't fallen completely yet and I did anyway because I. Going out of town for a few days. I used a yeast starter and fermentation was rocking the past couple of days. Let me know...

    Aging beer Carboy vs Keg

Just brewed a California Common and Beersmith tells me to keg, carbonate, age for 30 days. Would it make a difference if I left beer in the secondary carboy for 30 days then transfer to keg and carbonate? I have more carboys than kegs so it makes sense to me. Mike
