    Photoshop Label Workflow/Tutorials/Tips

Why should you avoid using layer styles? I don't think it would be any problem to use it. Problem is using photoshop in the first place (if you are an perfectionist). Anything with text or vectors should be dealt in illustrator or inDesign. But since none here is going for commercial use of...

    Craft labels are too "busy"

True for art but not for package design. Package design should be heads on. You will need to look at the segmentations who buys the product. From there, design the product/label. You would never go 100% black malt in a beer and think it will be good. Some stuff just doesn't make a good executed...

I got my water report today and by comparing my water below to the "Target ranges for mineral levels in beer brewing" from another site i find these values to be horrible. Is there something i am missing? pH at 20 C 8.2 Ca 22 mg/l MG 0.7 mg/l SO4 3.9 mg/l NA 17 mg/l Cl 6.5 mg/l...

I've been saying this for a while...

You will be fine! Made one partial mash and then stepped up to Biab after that. No beer has been catastrophic. But remember the max percentage of specialty grains thats the only problem i've had. I had a beer tasted like drinking almond juice - thank god it mellowed out. Heres a good link...

    Label Size

I sugest you create a new document with the size of your printing paper. Then go to your label: Flatten image: Layer> Flatten image so its just one layer Copy this to the A4 document and duplicate for the desired amount by using move tool (Hotkey V) When you print make sure you do...

    Why so fast?

Basic Brewing had last week (or two weeks ago) a podcast about wort chilling. One of the guys who were interviewed poured the hot wort in a fermentor bucket and let it sit in room temperature until it was down so he could put the yeast in. I can recommend listen to it. :)

What all do put in my fermenter?

I put a juice strainer on top of the bucket. Its getting rid of the most trub and aerate at the same time.
