[Version 2 Release] RaspberryPints - Digital Taplist Solution

I started off with a fresh SD card and an absolutely clean install of Fermentrack using Stretch and php7 and it worked beautifully. I tried adding RaspberryPints and it wouldn't work. Then, I used a fresh SD card and an absolutely clean install of RandR+ fork of RaspberryPints and it worked...

Native ESP8266 BrewPi Firmware - WiFi BrewPi, no Arduino needed!

Yeah, that's the issue I've been running into. I'm running Stretch and would like to keep it that way.... I changed all of the PHP5 to PHP7.0 and now ngix has taken over from Apache2. However, when I try to access RPints at http://<my-ip>:81/ I get an error 502 Bad Gateway. Any thoughts?

Native ESP8266 BrewPi Firmware - WiFi BrewPi, no Arduino needed!

So, it looks like the newest iteration of RaspberryPints is using PHP7. Should I just go through the the same steps but replace PHP5 with PHP7? I tried the autoinstallwe script and it returned errors and didn't complete the install. I tried doing it manually, but PHP5 can't be found/installed...

Native ESP8266 BrewPi Firmware - WiFi BrewPi, no Arduino needed!

I installed Fermentrack on a fresh SD card over the weekend and it worked perfectly. I want to run RaspberryPints on the same Pi, so I tried to install that last night and it didn't work. Something went wrong with Apache2 - it either didn't get installed or it's being kept from running, so...

[Version 2 Release] RaspberryPints - Digital Taplist Solution

I ran your RandR+ installation script last night. Something went wrong with the installation of Apache2. I cannot start Apache2, therefore RPints doesn’t work. Now, I had already installed Fermentrack on this Raspberry Pi and had installed the legacy support for programs like RPints. Is it...

[Version 2 Release] RaspberryPints - Digital Taplist Solution

I just got a Ferment track setup working last night. How do I go about installing Raspberry Pints on my 3b+ running Stretch? I don't have flowmeters now, but would like to add them at some point. I know there have been some serious improvements made since I tried and failed at installing...

    CraftBeerPi - Raspberry Pi Software

Thank for mentioning the GPIOsimple; I had mine set to PWM. I ran autotune on both the inner and outer loops, but when I plugged the numbers into CascadePID, the elements never reacted. I saved a bunch of spent grain to use for another autotune - the first time around I just used water and I...

    CraftBeerPi - Raspberry Pi Software

Has anybody gotten the CascadePID plugin to work? I spent several hours last night tuning the inner and outer loops (the way I thought I understood it) and ppuggepmy resultant numbers into the CascadePID assigned to the Mash Tun. When set to Auto, it gets it close to the set temperature, but...

Ginger Apple Cider - How much ginger to use in secondary?

Oh, gotcha! Yeah, I've always heard it referred to as a "hand," but that's coming from my parents and grandparents who all used either archaic or "old farmer" language!

Ginger Apple Cider - How much ginger to use in secondary?

I added the ginger at the same time as the yeast and let it ferment out (about a week) before going to keg.

Ginger Apple Cider - How much ginger to use in secondary?

As far as sugar from the ginger goes, I can't help you there - I kegged mine.

    New to Cider... Need Help

I used the same size can. I added the raspberries and peppers at the same time and let it sit for 3 days, if I remember correctly. I didn't want it to get too peppery. I'd say a week on the fruit would probably do nicely. As long as you sanitize everything properly, you could take samples from...

    New to Cider... Need Help

I made a Raspberry Jalapeno cider last year and used an entire can of raspberry puree for a 5 gallon batch added to secondary. It could have used a little more time on the puree before I added the peppers, but it was still quite good. It did stay cloudy for a very long time, though. The puree...

Ginger Apple Cider - How much ginger to use in secondary?

I made 5 gallons of ginger cider a little over a year ago. I put an entire hand (full root) of ginger in it. I peeled, then shredded it. It turned out absolutely perfect. So, for 1 gallon, I'd say 1/5th of a hand.

    Herms recirc and Grainbed issues

I had/have a similar issue with both mash and plain water. I've got a false bottom with a pickup in the center which connects to the bung in the side of the kettle with a length of hose. Three first time I ran the thing, I used plain water and had a lots of air in the hose running from the Mash...

    CraftBeerPi - Raspberry Pi Software

I've got an interesting issue: I set up tje CraftbeerPi software in my living room and everything worked fine. I had brew steps with hop additions, the buzzer would go off when it was time to throw in the hops or when a brew step had finishee. Everything was great. Then, I took it out to the...

Cold weather, glycol, and wort chiller question

Well, I brewed this evening. It was 29° when I started at 4:45. My biggest concern was leaving water in my hoses or in the wort chiller, so what I did was to flush the water out using a sump pump in a bucket of glycol. It worked like a charm! Hopefully no burst lines for me.
