    Chicken Tikka Masala - quick weeknight dinner. Picked up the naans from the supermarket as well, but didn't care for them. Totally different than the authentic ones you get at an Indian restaurant straight out of the tandoor.

    Braised beef short ribs (pan-fried on high heat, then stewed in a dutch oven for 2 hours with a lid on and 45 mins with the lid off), served with parsnip/carrot puree.     Homebrewing saved me over $1000 in 2015!

    Wow - $7 for a SN SIXER! In Singapore, a single bottle from a store (not a bar) would set you back around USD 5.80. I am quite confident that those of us who brew US-style beers overseas (myself included) save a fairly decent chunk of change by homebrewing vs buying.

    Strawberry salad -> spinach, strawberries, toasted pecan nuts & goat cheese. Dressing - EV olive oil, raspberry vinegar & poppy seeds. Goes down really well with a nice "minerally" Chablis.

    Fully agree, umeboshi is quite an "acquired taste" condiment; not being Japanese, I am still getting fully used to it myself. :mug:

    Lazy Sunday lunch.. Japanese udon in a broth with natto (Japanese fermented beans), okra, Umeboshi (Japanese sour plum) paste and onsen-style egg. Dark saison on the side.

    Looks absolutely delicious! :mug: Indonesians and Malaysians would also typically add kaffir lime leaves, galangal (in addition to ginger) and the crushed whites of lemongrass stalks into their beef rendang. If you are able to source these additional ingredients, they will add a nice touch...
