    My E-build with automation soon!!

This stuff simply blows my mind. I can't imagine a time in my life where I will have the type of money to put one together (not exactly in a high income, though by choice)... this is like looking at an antique car magazine with rebuilds I would never be able to afford. Wonderful to look at...

First BIAB and hops testing experiment

Unfortunately, I have no way of double milling my grain bill as I already have it pre-milled in my possession with no grinder. I'll probably make these two batches the same way and buy a mill later in order to do it myself. Maybe I'll try to roll it with a rolling pin, since it's only a few...

First BIAB and hops testing experiment

Looks like I only achieved 63% efficiency. Adjusted SG 1.041 (Measured 1.039 @ ~72F). Going to have to work on it, figure out what I did wrong.

First BIAB and hops testing experiment

It's happily boiling away with my brother in law monitoring right now. Looking forward to checking my efficiency. Thank you all for your input! I'll let you know how it turns out. @C-Rider - I'm planning on a 1 or 2 week rotation for these small batches. I'm with you... variety is key! If...

First BIAB and hops testing experiment

Hi guys! Tomorrow is my first BIAB brew day. I'm very excited - I've been waiting to do my first AG brew for quite some time. For Christmas, I got a 5 gallon Milk Stout extract kit from a friend that I did a partial boil on and it is happily bubbling away in my coat closet. However, I've...

Greetings from North Car... I mean Nebraska

Haha yes I've discovered Nebraska is quite different in comparison to the east coast/ south east. However, I love it and miss it! I've been to Norfolk a number of times. Have you gotten involved with any of the Omaha or Lincoln area homebrew clubs?

Oringally from Chadron, but my family now owns a home in McCook. That is where we are headed in less than a year!

Honey Porter - Tell me how I did it wrong!

Hey there guys! The following is very simple recipe that I "created" using BeerSmith and, after my Beersmith trial ran out, Brewtarget. I brewed this beer a bit over a week ago and it is still sitting in my primary (bucket). I decided to leave it in the primary for two weeks, bottle it, and...

Greetings from North Car... I mean Nebraska

Hellow there, Cyclman - Colorado holds a dear place in my heart, as my brother and several relatives and friends live there. When living in Nebraska, we take plenty of trips to Denver, the Springs, and Ft. Collins. I'm probably going to have to do most of my "Craigslist" homebrew shopping on...

Greetings from North Car... I mean Nebraska

Hello everyone! My name is Kiel and I am originally from Nebraska. I'm in the military and stationed in North Carolina, but I'm about to make my way back to Nebraska. I'm an extract brewer planning a transition to AG, specifically BIAB. I'm in a unique situation that will help me to...
