    Missouri Inline Stainless Filter

I've been tripping over these ginormous filters for too long now. Hopefully someone can find a use for them! :rockin: Product specs are here. The ports are 1.5" opening with a 2" flange, with an end inlet and a long perforated 1/4" strainer element. I think this makes it either the S10036...

5-1/2 foot DIY Hood for approx. $75

Decoy/Mike, I have a sheet rolled up in the garage that is probably 2 ft. diameter from the 8 ft. side of a 4x8 sheet. However, I don't know if there is a direction to the fibers that would prevent you from making that tight of a diameter along the 4 ft. side...

Need help figuring out HERMs MLT temp. issues

I'm having a terrible time maintaining mash temperatures where I would like them to be. Mashing with PID set to 153, the majority of my mash sits at 145 except for area immediately around HERMs return. My setup (followed Kal's guide): Approx. 32G kettles (19.5" diameter by 26" H) - HLT is...

Went with a large enclosure. Suggestions?

The local hardware store was selling these. The rubber seal is in good shape and I'm hoping it has a rating of "Waterproof enough.". :) I am looking for some ideas on the front or face of it. Right now I'm guessing it will be easiest for mounting the electronics if I cut out the raised portion...

Show us your sculpture or brew rig

Very nice setup. I'm surprised that I don't see more people using the FRP wall board in their setups. I have it around my utility sink but still need to line my fermentation closet with it. Home Depot has it here.

5-1/2 foot DIY Hood for approx. $75

The FRP was actually given to me from as left-over from a job. It is pebbled on one side. I used the smooth side (back) as the inside of the hood thinking that condensation would be more apt to travel down to the drip channel.

    Nano? Sani-Matic In-line Angle Filter/Strainer

Ok, this might not generate much interest here but if you don't mind please pass on to any Nano acquaintances you might have. Product specs are here. The ports are 1.5" opening with a 2" flange, with an end inlet and a long perforated 1/4" strainer element. I think this makes it either the...

    Price check - Commercial 2' stainless strainer/filter

I think this is more of a commercial/Probrewer item, but I'm curious as to what might be a fair price. Specs (and crazy retail price) can be found here.

    5500w E-Keggle - $75

Keg with 5500w ULWD element and 6-foot/3-prong dryer plug. Element has been used once. Keg is in very good condition and would be a good candidate for polishing if you want something shiny. Local pickup in Springfield, MO area only, please. I'll get some pictures posted in next day or two.

5-1/2 foot DIY Hood for approx. $75

I have all the duct work done and the fan controller installed! There seems to be plenty of airflow at the end of my 30' of duct. I need to put in the hood drain line and route it to the sink, but otherwise this project is done. On to the kettles and control panel!

If you could only brew one batch of beer?

It would be a 7 BBL batch. Aside from volume and more to style, probably a big beer. Imperial stout maybe.

5-1/2 foot DIY Hood for approx. $75

Ok, I went to hang the hood by myself and it went from about 60 lbs to around 800 lbs. It's currently just hanging with rope. I'll level it and secure it with 1/8" cable over the weekend. Should also have all the duct run by end of the weekend.

5-1/2 foot DIY Hood for approx. $75

I appreciate the advice on the flex-duct, ToV. I'll be sure to use rigid duct. The fan came in yesterday. I'm going to make slight changes to the hood tomorrow to accommodate the fan. I intend to replace the side 2x4's with longer ones that will allow me to mount the fan directly to the...

5-1/2 foot DIY Hood for approx. $75

Unfortunately I have a very long run of duct (30 feet) with two 90 degree elbows. The two elbows are within the first 5 feet of duct (from the fan). Flex-duct might be a better option since it would allow less drastic angles. I'm going to mount the fan to the hood or very close to it. The way...
