really old thread but - I am struggling with the dip tub on a brand new boilermaker... Do you typically un-screw the set screw each time to remove the dip tube? Is there a secret to getting the dip tube out of the boilermaker easily?

So...i bought a brewlab kit and tested my water - Now what do i do? I thought there woud be a app - i could ut in the beer type and my water profile and it will tell me what to do - is there such a thing? Thanks!!

If so have you have used it for 5-7 gallon batches? There is a comment on the morebeer site it needs to have at least 9 gallons for the cooling chip to work, but the guy selling it says he has done tons fo 5 gallon batches with it... Anyone have one and can help?

What if you laid the keg on it's side when carb'ing? I am looking to get a quickcarb and have the same concerns on carb'ing with a floating diptube - before i order the quickcarb

I have been brewing on 2 - 16 gallon Bayou Classic pots for a few year. Getting back into brewing and decided i wanted a better mashtun set up and i typically only ever brew 5 gallon batches, because by the time i kick the keg, i want something else to drink. SO i bought a 10 gallon boiler maker...

dammit - there was a auction... I have been on the search for a Z - but $900 is out of my range for something that could turn into a anchor...

3 way valve is dripping badly in the opposite direction of what i have the liquid flowing - is there a way to tighten or stop this? in other words when i have the valve handle turned to left (liquid flowing out the right) the left side is dripping badly... Does that make sense? Can this be...

I am re-working my top tier stand, and i saw thus blichmann youtube video with the pump mounted above the kettles. - Higher was perfect - No more crawler under lit burners to hook up the pump... So i tried it - too high for the liquid to get to the pump... Is there a way to run you pump higher...

OK - I was gifted a Norcal brewing false bottom for a keggle - it is almost a perfect size for my bayou classic pot - see pic... Here is my question, i have used a doomed false bottom with good success for a while now, but it is only a 12" and the bottom of my Bayou kettle(mashtun) is 15.5"...

Dammit. This is the second time I missed one of these...
