    Water hardness an issue?

Telling me its unbalanced. It happens after adding Potassium data. I dont have nitrite data in my report so not sure if thats why? So it looks like I need to add either Acid malt or lactic acid to get ph down. I am assuming this would have been an issue with RO water as well as I only added a...

Need some (A lot) of guidance building R Pi controller with Craftbrew Pi software

I believe 3.0 was released version and 3.1 got to beta and fixed some things. I believe I heard he is now working on version 4.0 I will pole around and look into Flask, but being a front end programmer used to dealing with HTML, not sure how far I will get. Its too bad. I was actually recently...

Need some (A lot) of guidance building R Pi controller with Craftbrew Pi software

Yes I am using version 3 of CBPi so that is why I downloaded that version from GitHub. So it looks like v3 does not use standard html, but python and maybe like you suggest some other framework to render or piece together the ui. I wish it was just straight html with bootstrap :)

Need some (A lot) of guidance building R Pi controller with Craftbrew Pi software

I did. I followed this path craftbeerpi/modules/ui/static/ there is only one html file and it looks like a placeholder. Basically all the files are python.

Need some (A lot) of guidance building R Pi controller with Craftbrew Pi software

So I have taken the first steps to building my controller. I ordered my Pi 3b+ and got it all setup. Finding info was not too difficult, just a lot of googling. Some high-level tips for anyone thinking about this: Order RBPi, power supply, sd card. Raspberry Pi Steps Format SD card with...

Is SS Brewtech introducing an eBIAB system?

As someone who owns a lot of SS gear and is looking to get into electric brewing i wish they would just tell us what they are coming out with. All this cloak and dagger stuff is getting annoying. I will probably end up going in another direction soon if they dont at least announce what the...

Fermentrack: Fermentation monitoring & BrewPi-www Replacement for Raspberry Pi

Thanks for the info. CraftbeerPi is running on port 5000, so I guess it won't be an issue. That is the default port it installed on. Going to try installing this. I guess the RPi needs to be really close to the fermenter then to read the tilt?

Fermentrack: Fermentation monitoring & BrewPi-www Replacement for Raspberry Pi

Can this run on a raspberry pi that is also running craftbeerPi at the same time? How does it connect and read data from a tilt? EDIT: Just confirmed they are both running in parallel on different ports, awesome, now time to see if it can read the tilt.

Need some (A lot) of guidance building R Pi controller with Craftbrew Pi software

Ok so jumping back into this. Yes I did do a search and really only found a lot of people having issues. It was hard to find clear cut list of working components for the various functions. I did just order my RP1 3b+ with power supply and ordered the Samsung 32GB EVO Plus Class 10 Micro SDHC...

Need some (A lot) of guidance building R Pi controller with Craftbrew Pi software

So I am hoping to set up a controller for my eBrewery I am working on. I am looking to control the following: 1 240v heating element 2 temp probes 2 pumps I am going to have a BK/HLT and going to heat the wort via counterflow chiller connected to the mash tun. I have never built a Raspberry Pi...

new eBrewing setup, eBIAB or eHerms?

So this is the current plan. I am going to try and put something together based on @TexasWine's idea of using 2 vessel with an Exchillerator counterflow wort chiller also being used to heat the water for the mash tun. I will only need to have a single element in the BK/HLT, will set up temp...

    CraftBeerPi - Raspberry Pi Software

So I am interested in setting up a raspberry pi based controller. I have not read this entire thread, in the 10+ pages I have read it seems like many people have issues building one and getting it to work consistently or at all. Is it better to look at something like the hose head? Do all the...

Doubling Down: SS Brewtech Conical + FTSS + Glycol Power Pack

Hmm I have mine connected the same way you do. I just looked at what documentation I could find from them and do not see any recommendations on which way is correct. I have had trouble getting much below 40, maybe I will try switching and see if it makes a difference. And that beer looks good.

    Trillium’s “new fermentation profile?”

It sounds like they are going to be changing over at least all their street series. The recent scaled, and summer st said they used the new profile. Interested to try out the new beers at some point soon.
