    Im not very experienced but I would expect a bottle bomb. Why not add yeast to carboy before bottling? How long was ferment time?

    Hydrometer practically bottomed out.... checked twice to make sure.... Bottled it into 2 cases of 22 oz bottles with 2 sugar balls per bottle. Im going to wait at least 2 weeks before refrigerating a few. My basement is getting cold... should I condition these upstairs in 55 - 75 degrees or...

    I left grains in too long too... on purpose.... but you seem to have done the right thing by steeping and removing them before the boil.... I dont get the problem

    Ive done a few of these now and not being a wine connosuier (and not even knowing how to spell it) Here is my method. 64 0z welchs add 1 pkt organic yeast from market. Let ferment 5 or 6 days. strain through wifes nylons... bottle with no sugar like a beer with cap... wait 3 weeks. Tasted...

    Too Warm?

    I found a plastic storage tub at kmart and put water in it... and about 2 scoops of ice a day to keep it around 65. It worked real well. Now its about 60 in my basement... winter is coming.
