    Should I use a Hydrometer Now?

    It has been my experience with mr.beer to let it ferment for 2 weeks, and bottle condition for at least another 2 weeks, then chill for a week. You don't wanna test too much with mr.beer cause your only gonna get 18 to 20 beers from it anyway.

    Thanks guys, does anyone know of any lhbs in columbus ohio? I've been to Gentiles,and know of the place on high street, but don't know of anyplace else. Also, should I worry about taking a sg reading tonight? I can get a hydrometer today.

    Made my first 5 gallon batch last night, Brewers best dunklewiezen. Was going good till I realized my pot that worked for Mr. Beer wasn't big enough for boil, so out came the turkey frier pot. Was going well till I dropped my hydrometer on the floor, so I didn't get my og reading. Oh well, its...
