    So who's brewing this weekend?

Planned a New Years brew on the 2nd, an original APA with warrior and green bullet hops. If things go well I may do another on Sunday. Possibly a California Common with northern brewer hops.

Best grain mill in your opinion?

Just got a cereal killer mill for Christmas based on the recommendation of several respected posters in this thread. Will be brewing on the New Year's weekend and will post about how it functions. Thanks guys!

My Saison came out really dry

The beauty of a saison is it's dryness. I love that mine get to 1.004 or lower. One got to .996! In my opinion your brew did great. Give it a few more weeks and enjoy

    Extra wort

I intentionally calculate to get an extra half gallon or so of wort, specifically the sparge. This gives me raw wort that I can boil down and use for my yeast starters. Sometimes my calculations are off but no worries...

How long does your beer last? Does it even get a chance to age?

I definitely get mine to age! I am the only person that drinks beer in my house, unless I invite people over. Now the good ones can be gone in 4-6 months I have had some MEH products go two years and still were... meh.

    So who's brewing this weekend?

Ambitious brewday planned this weekend... My brother and I are combining our breweries and our inaugural recipe is a double batch (10 gallons) of Westvleteren 12 clone! Then, to add another degree of difficulty we will partigyle a third batch. Yay, beer!

Belgian Dark Strong Ale Westvleteren 12 Clone - Multiple Award Winner

Made the purchase already but do not fear my friend! I plan on using it in the small beer from the second runnings. It will have everything but the Candi sugar and the hop variety will be different. I love saisons so that works well, but was told that it's not really a grist for a saison, but...

Belgian Dark Strong Ale Westvleteren 12 Clone - Multiple Award Winner

Jumping back into brewing with both feet using the second recipe of the Westy 12 clone. I've made both versions and while both are super delicioso, I find the second and more complicated grain bill gives the best version. It just has more complexity. My brother and I have "merged" our breweries...
