    Gravity = 1.020!!!!

    I know that counting the bubbles coming from the airlock isnt a big deal and doesnt really mean squat. BUT Psylocide!!!! I tried your ghetto towel trick I DID NOT bump or jerk the carboy one time and the bubbling went from 1/50sec to 1/6sec. I think it is safe to assume some of the yeast that...

    Gravity = 1.020!!!!

    The outside of the carboy is at 60 F. I stirred the wort. Transferred it into carboy, poured in yeast and it shook and stirred while i walked the 5 gallons down the stairs to the basement. - What do others think about the adding of the corn sugar? is it worth it?

    Gravity = 1.020!!!!

    What shall i do about the stalled beer? I have heard of this 1.020 curse. I did use LME as my malt and the Gravity has been stalled at 1.020 since monday (day 7 in Primary). Should i rack to secondary and dry hop tonight (day 11 Primary)? or wait until monday (day 14 in Primary)? I doubt the...

    5.25 gal beer in 5 gal carboy???

    I do have a 6.5 gal bucket and an 8 gal bottling bucket that are open but i have avoided brewing in them... I typically only use the 8 gal on bottling day. Thanks grimm! One thing i was hoping to get more responses on was the narrowing of the 5.25 gal recipe to 5 gals and eliminating only the...

    Primary Fermenter Taste

    When i was new to brewing i chose super short recipes. My first beer was a simple California stout. I had bottled after only 9 days and It turned out exceptionally well. It tasted pretty good on the first sample and got better as the weeks past. I struggled with carb in the bottle conditioning...
