Whirlpooling with heating coil in boil kettle?

Awesome, thanks! You start the whirlpooling after flameout and then just let it rest a little bit before running it through your chiller? Sorry, I was meaning mash tun. I fixed it lol.

225's Electric HERMS 20 Gallon Brewery.

Hey guys, I'm putting together a 20 gallon kettle setup for brewing 10/12 gallon batches. I've made a spreadsheet on Google sheets if you wanna keep up with the parts list / cost. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1PgY4AxLoka5on1cfKPgtxqW5LohVQy8mQoAXWAEokGQ/edit?usp=sharing The brewery...

Whirlpooling with heating coil in boil kettle?

I'm currently building a electric system with 20 gallon Blichmann kettles and 5500w ripple elements. And I would like to add the Brewhardware.com whirlpool port. Is whirlpooling still possible with the element in the way? I was thinking that if it was, moving the wort back to the mash tun to...

    My kegmenter and chamber

What's this called in Google search terms? I'm ordering parts now. lol Here's what I'm thinking I'll try. Maybe go "unitank" style fermenter? Add a 2" tri clamp fitting on the bottom with a butterfly valve. Add a port on the side for a carb stone, and sample port. Maybe If I'm ambitious...

    My kegmenter and chamber

Nice, I like that. Seems simple enough. Is it hard to clean?

    My kegmenter and chamber

Hmm... Pretty cool idea. I might have to try something like this. Would be better than messing with a new $200 brew bucket. And this would work with a glycol chiller too with the large tri clamp up top. Thanks for the ideas! Did you use filler? Pulse weld?

    My kegmenter and chamber

So you didn’t make the drop out on the bottom low enough to drop the trub out if you wanted to? I have a TIG welder and was thinking about putting a tri clamp fitting on the bottom of a ss brewtech brew bucket to drop the trub out. Or does the trub stay below your tube on the bottom?

How to Label Bottles Using a Thermal Printer For 1-3 Cents A Label!

This could be a cool idea. If you came up with a cool grayscale label / logo, or go 80's pixels it could make for some cool labels. I'm gonna look into label design software for this to see what I can dream up.

Anyone want to take a crack at a Parish Ghost in the Machine clone?

In my fridge in Asheville, NC. The other beer is Hi-Wire 10w40 King Cake stout. Talk about good.

Anyone want to take a crack at a Parish Ghost in the Machine clone?

I haven't tried Voodoo. I live in Asheville now, so I stop by the store on the way home and pick up a few. I work on a boat in NOLA area. Amen to that.

Anyone want to take a crack at a Parish Ghost in the Machine clone?

I bet they are making something less aggressive than Ghost and making something close to Juicifer by Garnly Barley.

How Many Kegs in your Keezer/Kegerator?

That's good to hear. I'm about to start my keezer build and where I want to put it, space is limited. I found a Magic Chef at home depot 7.1 for $168. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Magic-Chef-7-0-cu-ft-Chest-Freezer-in-White-HMCF7W3/305468700

Anyone want to take a crack at a Parish Ghost in the Machine clone?

Burial beer on their West Coast IPA (surf Wax IPA, very similar to Ghost.) uses a Pilsner base malt. That would be my guess too. Next time I'm in there I'll ask if I can get a clone recipe, or ballpark on one. Back when NOLA Brewing had their original head brewer, he gave me all the clone...

Anyone want to take a crack at a Parish Ghost in the Machine clone?

Ghost used to be a seasonal beer. Now they make it full time. I'm sure they nailed down a recipe for mass production. Next time I go I'll get feelers.

Anyone want to take a crack at a Parish Ghost in the Machine clone?

The tap room has a double hopped version too. I live in NC but work in Louisiana, wife's from New Iberia (5 miles away). Next time I'm in town, I'll get a few crowlers for trading if anyone wants to try the DDH version. The DDH version in front of the brewery.
