I don't think that's the purpose of the brew bucket considering there appears to be no ball valve at the bottom of the cone. I don't see a way to remove it at all.

Is the cooling indicator blinking our is it steady when you are testing for voltage? Can you post a pic of your wiring configuration? If those both check out OK you have to realize these are cheap Chinese units and a DOA can happen occasionally.

If I have female 1/2" NPT SS Couplers welded into my kettles and want to attach ball valves and other fittings that also have female NPT ports, what size male nipple is normally needed to join the two together and have sufficient enough threads to make a full seal? I don't want my ball valve...
