    3 Prong 240v outlet question

I would love some closer-ups of the inside of that panel and/or higher rez pics if you have any. Also, do you know (or P-J if you see this), did I get the wrong style 3 way switches to use with the P-J diagram above? It's listed as a 3 way, 2 NO Contact switch...

I would love to order one but after entering my info for the 5th time I gave up. I kept getting a credit card processing error complaining about my zip code, card number or expiration date. I verifed all info, even went as far as logging into my CC account online and confirming the correct...

Chronical Fermenter by SS Brewing Technologies

I don't think that's the purpose of the brew bucket considering there appears to be no ball valve at the bottom of the cone. I don't see a way to remove it at all.

    List of PJ Electrical Diagrams

Wow, brain fart. Just looked and I bought a 1500w/240v element, not a 120v. So I can basically use the diagram as is.

    List of PJ Electrical Diagrams

If I decided to go off this diagram exactly with the only change being the RIMS element as 120v what all would I need to change? Would the contactor still be a good idea or should I wire it up just like the 3 120v outlets on the bottom? (I know I talked of putting it other switches and being...

    STC-1000 help

Is the cooling indicator blinking our is it steady when you are testing for voltage? Can you post a pic of your wiring configuration? If those both check out OK you have to realize these are cheap Chinese units and a DOA can happen occasionally.

How can I convert this Chest Freezer into a Temp. Controlled Fermentation Chamber?

On the STC-1000 the terminals are numbered as such.... 1/2 - Power Supply 110VAC 3/4 - Sensor 5/6 - Heating 7/8 - Cooling I would love to put my STC-1000 in place of the stock controller. Are the numbers on your controller different, maybe your 3/4 is the STC-1000's 7/8? Did you use...

    Custom False Bottom Options

What are the options out there for companies that make custom sized false bottoms for kettles? I know of Norcal and they are definitely the top of my list. But I seem to recall seeing another option where the person/company would have you measure the height from the bottom of your kettle...

    Stainless Steel Coupler Question

If I have female 1/2" NPT SS Couplers welded into my kettles and want to attach ball valves and other fittings that also have female NPT ports, what size male nipple is normally needed to join the two together and have sufficient enough threads to make a full seal? I don't want my ball valve...

Chronical Fermenter by SS Brewing Technologies

I recently emailed them regarding the 14 gallon and it sounds like it well be a few months into 2014 at the best estimate. They mentioned that the brew buckets are selling like crazy and they are having a hard time keeping up with demands. Seemed like very nice friendly people.

    CHUBBY Brewing's Official Build Thread

I figured since parts were starting to arrive I needed an official thread to chronicle my build. I am planning a BCS-460 controlled, fully electric, RIMS, single tier 3 vessel setup. I plan on 10 gallon batches for most everything but reserve the possibility to go to 15 gallon if I really push...
