I assume you mean you cant get the lid on right.. You can take a rubber mallet and tap it down or a hammer, if you use the latter, put a board over it to distribute the jarring so it doesn't take it all in one spot.. Lids get easier to open and close over time..

I know virtually zero, but the time from brew to bottling seems shorter than my understanding of it should be, perhaps it wasn't finished fermenting and adding the priming sugar increased the already active yeast and over carbonated the brew.. I'm about 97.76% sure I am wrong, but I'm sure...
