    Excessively long mash time

    My last batch, an IPA, kept failing an iodine test and I mashed it for about 130 minutes at 150-155. Should I be expecting any off flavors or other problems. What happens during a long mash ? THanks, Nic

    Hi, my name is Nic and I have recently started brewing, again. My roommates and I did a few John Bull kits about 10 years ago and I have been back into it for a year or so. My last two batches have PM and look forward to an AG beer soon. You guys have a great site.
