Games for game night? All adults, no kids

    Ok, you asked for it!

Games for game night? All adults, no kids

I ordered Exploding Kittens and Scattergories (no learning curve there), added a few other items to my 'wish list' and happened to find "Are you Smarter than a Fifth Grader?" at a thrift store yesterday for $2. We'll see how this goes. I really like a couple of the card games that the group...

Games for game night? All adults, no kids

Well, not to gross you out…..but I did joke with them about it last week. Average age of our group is probably about 75. One of the ladies is pushing 80, but looks 60. Still. I’m the youngest. So, pretty gross.

Games for game night? All adults, no kids

Our little group of 7 great friends started a game night. We’ll meet twice a month at 5 PM for food and fun (cocktail type food and drink. Plenty of drink). One week we played Wizard. It was fun, but the host gets to pick the game. I have NO idea what to pick or buy for my turn. All...

Try the Inkbird WiFi Meat Thermometer for free!

Wow, I just saw this. It looks great! If the option to try it is still open, I'd love to give it a try.

    Hunting!

Sort of like bison if I had to put a name to it. Earthy beefy and not gamey is the best I can come up with.

    First kit wine

No, I don't do anything to the kegs. I don't have any leaks in them but I don't top off with c02 as I don't want to carbonate the wine. I have reds in the main house, whites in my cool basement. I give it just enough c02 to push, then turn it off. I've used those 'chargers' too, but they...

    First kit wine

I don’t pressurize it, and use co2 only to push it out. It works for me.

    First kit wine

I make a lot of wine kits to fill out my other wines. They are easy, pretty decent (especially the really expensive ones- they are quite good), and we love having kegged table wine on hand.

    Hunting!

It is warm and breezy here, so we’re not seeing much but we do have some venison in the freezer! I’ve seen some HUGE bucks on my camera but they are more nocturnal until the rut gets going a bit more.

Prickly pear fruit wine! Looking for advice and help!

You have to use a lot of them, the 'tunas' are the fruits. We made purple margaritas with them a few times, and noticed it tasted like kiwi fruit to us. But you do need a lot, and they have a definite slime factor.

    Fall Corny Keg Giveaway

I brew either 11 or 5 gallon batches! No average really as it's about equal.

Prickly pear fruit wine! Looking for advice and help!

It's really good! Think kiwi fruit as the closest thing I can think of. Really a unique flavor!

    Hunting!

Bow season started October 1 here...............but I was busy cleaning up after Hurricane Helene in Florida until this weekend. And now we have Hurricane Milton bearing down. However, I'm in upper Michigan and going to go out tomorrow (finally). Good luck to you!

    BIAB - For amateurs?

I guess I'm a 20+ year amateur then.................. :) I've had it all- a bucket, a cooler, an all electric 1/2 barrel HERMS, etc, and started using a bag in my HERMS for 11 gallon batches a long time ago. I now downsized and kept the bag. So I have a Brewzilla and a cooler, and I BIAB.

    real vs fake pizza toppings

I LOVE pizza. I don't love deep dish anymore, but I would still eat that too. One of the highlights for me of Florence was a 'four seasons' pizza and the waiter brought it out, with a bottle of good olive oil and a bottle of balsamic vinegar for drizzling. I loved the very thin crust, the...

    healthy scoby?

Growing a culture from GT is tough, for sure. I usually start with about 1.5 cups of strong kombucha as starter tea plus a cellulose mat. (What some people call the SCOBY, but a SCOBY is actually the bacteria/yeast, not the cellulose mat). I'd throw it away and either start over with...

    healthy scoby?

I've never seen anything like the stuff on the left- mine are universally brown/tan. Maybe someone else has some idea on that. You've been fermenting it for 20 days? How did you start it, was the SCOBY healthy?

    Blackberry Wine

Ended up with 15 gallons of blackberry wine, just into secondary. It looks great. I will rack in about 30 days, and probably oak most of it before packaging next year.
