    fermenting with homemade dried kveik

You've obviously not read about kveik! This stuff is awesome. Ferments at a hilariously fast rate and prefer extreme temps. It can be used as a lager yeast at at lower temperatures (20-25 Celsius) and there is next to no lagering period. It can be dried in the oven. It loves to be under pitched...

    Anyone have a Fermentasaurus?

Thanks. I think I'll be going for a beer gun. How about dryhopping? I've seen some vids that show it's really bad trough the bottle. Any tips?

    Anyone have a Fermentasaurus?

I recently got a fermentasaurus for cheap and I have some questions about bottling directly from the fermentasaurus that I can't find any good information about. 1. Can you get fully carbed beer from it and then bottlefrom it? I have a spunding valve and sodastream gas with all the adapters as...

Dark Mild Mild Mannered Ale (AG) (E) UK/US

Wow! That is a gorgeous beer! Just beautiful! For me the time it takes for my beer to be good depends a lot on the style. IPAs that are dryhopped are best fresh. Stouts tend to take longer, but it's always changing until it hits it's peak. I once had two crates of 10,5% Belgian Trappist beer...

Why do you seldom see high gravity lagers?

I would think that lagers are made with a much lighter grainbill. Thus there is much less to mask the high alcohol content. Here in Norway I've tasted 6,5% and I found it tasted alcohol. Just my 2 cents

    balloon for an airlock?

My question to your question is why if co2 gas is bad for the fermentation do we have specialized fermenter vessels (fermentasaurus) that do just that, ferment under pressure.
