    Carboy probably has alot of C02 in suspension. Perhaps try it after vigorously aerating the must.

    Assuming no/few bubbles in sample beaker...I let mine sit for about 30secs. I Read it at the bottom of the meniscus [emoji111] (If lots of bubbles...let em dissipate prior to doing your reading.) What was your OG?

    Gravity too low prior to fermentation

    If it ferments to 1 -- ABV will be about 3.7%... Goes bit below 1 that rises but not significantly.

    Southeast Michigan here.... Not many apples this season on my approx 80yr old Duchess of Oldenburg tree. Has a history of every other year production though. Cheers [emoji111]

    Tilt hydrometer for temperature control

    Looking at acquiring 1st tilt... Can you set up SG targets & have it (or cloud data collection) alert u when those are reached? Is this easy to accomplish? Thx in advance [emoji111]

    Monitoring Specific Gravity

    I've been thinking about a Tilt to help me out & compliment my hydrometer readings. Looking at other threads there's a bunch of folks that have had very good success with 'em. Seems the less krausen ya have the better. For my D47 ferments...I get Very little. Cheers....good luck & keep us...

    An aside question for whomever: Assuming that everything else is the same....would you expect a 16oz bottle to carb up at same rate as a 32oz?
