What to do with a bad beer?

Most places have trick or treating today or tomorrow.... Keep the snickers for yourself.

How to drive down ingredient costs?

I'm no expert but FWIW - 1. Might want to think about yeast ranching. Yes there's a cost to get set up like anything else but I don't think any of us really factor in cost of equipment when we factor our "cost per 6 pack". You'd be able to take 1 6 dollar yeast pack and make a bunch of slants...

    Yooper's Famous!!

Congrats! Love seeing someone from the UP getting some pub. 1/2 the time it's not even on the map when they show the US on TV. Absolutely outstanding. (Former Yooper)

Broke up with my LHBS today

IMO - as a customer, which I AM - I'm less ticked at a LHBS running out of a product than I am being rationed. Particularly if other places aren't doing it. For instance - I went to my local yesterday. Completely out of 6gal Better Bottles. Does that bother me? Not particularly. I'll go back...

Broke up with my LHBS today

My 2 cents - as long as I'm here... If I am a retailer I buy a sack of grain for X, hope to sell it for Y and realize Z in profit. Why do I care if that's spread out over 15 customers or just 1? I've realized my profit and it also provided more short term cash flow. IMO, as a customer I'm...

    Sanitizing Cocoa Nibs?

Thanks - Chocolate Milk Stout is my first brew ever - been in the primary for 2 days. I'm going to have to get some vodka before I go to secondary then.

    Sanitizing Cocoa Nibs?

Do you just add the nibs or nibs+vodka to the secondary.

Trying to get what I want...

I don't think Bud is bitter - just don't like anything about it - never have. Tried once, that was enough. Miller used to make stuff in a plain red can. It was called just "Miller" IIRC. That was some ok stuff. Currently the fad in GB is the "retro-beer" night. Schlitz, Blatz and PBR on sale.

Trying to get what I want...

The cider is the devil's lure. I love it, can drink it all day EVERYDAY but variety is the spice of life. Plus it is hard to find bars I like what serve Woodchuck. Thanks for the tips so far... ETA: I am still learning what styles are what Ale, Lager etc. as I don't really dig the bitter...

Trying to get what I want...

All, I come to you from Wisconsin, a land steeped in beer culture. I am an outcast as I can't seem to like beer (as I am getting it now). I am a big fan of the ciders tho (Woodchuck and the like). Here is my problem, every time I order a beer, the first 1/2 pint is ok. I enjoy it and think...
