Birdman, along the lines of what BLL is saying, how about starting them in the oven and finishing them on the grill? Since the timing is a problem, you don't have to worry about the indirect portion of it .... which could make things easier if you have a bunch of different things on the grill.

Mike, I know you're sensitive to bad press surrounding APBTs, but everyone who posts about pit bulls isn't out to malign the breed. :) He was just being descriptive, in the same manner he described what breed of dog he has (English Setter).

Our friend brought her 5-month old puppy over last night, and we were treated to some digestive pyrotechnics. Luckily it happened outside. He also took a liking to one of our male dogs ... or should I say "a licking". I'll let you imagine what I mean by that.

Good rant. And thanks for reminding me, it's time to send in a donation to the local animal shelter. I agree about the leashes. Apparently this is a foreign concept to the several dog owners on my street who don't have fences. Listen, if your dog sees my dogs walking (on a leash, mind you)...

When our dog was a puppy, the first time he had a fart that wasn't silent, it totally freaked him out! It was so hard not to laugh since he was having some diarrhea issues at the time, but that's some funny stuff.

I heard Craig said that the dinner SWMBO cooked was, and I quote, "a little too salty". Thus resulting in the aforementioned "Too salty?? I'll show him salty!" moment.

I like it! The only thing I would suggest is that the Irish Red doesn't really go with the Mount Olympus theme. Maybe you could rename it to "Fire of Hades red ale" or just red ale or something like that?

Ahhh, coming home to the ol' butterscotch surprise. One of the best parts of having a dog!

Our dogs are part of the family, but they're still dogs. You could dilute beef broth with water and they'd love it, and it'd be a lot cheaper than that doggie beer. BTW, my little buddy likes to lick the tops of beer bottles. He prefers light American lagers.

In our house, if you like eating goose grap, you drink water. Sorry, but those are the rules. :)
