English Ales - What's your favorite recipe?

Such a good yeast. Hot Tip for E-IPA people. Add 10g (0.35oz) of chinook to the dryhop, so a really subtle pine finish and another layer.

interesting. Are you sure you're not talking about Hop Burn? That would make more sense to me.

Double IPA Pliny the Elder Clone

Delicious. Increasingthe dryhop by 50% makes the aroma really jump out of the glass big, grapefruit, pine etc. Definitely not a clone, as its super orangey from the Voss. but its tasty. dry, and the colour is spot on i reckon. added the 200g of dextrose after 24 hours fermentation worked a...

    Lallemand Verdant IPA Ale

Yes it was. However, I have had issues with Verdant, but i've put that down to my own recipe/process for now. I still have some left, so it will make a good compearison between that and the M66.

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

Good update, interesting information on the blends. and yes, the Koln would be a good option, as the packs i've used of that, have finished hazy.

New England IPA "Northeast" style IPA

Thoughts on Dry yeast alternatives for these types of styles? I've just completed a hop hands with the new Mangrove jacks M66 Hophead. 1. Mangrove Jacks M66 hophead - good yeast, but not juicy, dropped clear, more APA/XPA than NEPA 2. Lallemand Verdant IPA - finished to sweet for me, but i...

    Lallemand Verdant IPA Ale

Kegged up and am drinking my "From mah Head to mah Hands" Hazy Pale Ale Simcoe and amarillo in th eboil, dryhopped with citra, simcoe and amarillo. Finished at 1.011 a little drier than I'd like, and its dropped almost perfectly clear after 1 week in the keg, so the juiciness is missing. It's...

Any Lallemand Philly Sour feedback or experience to share?

This is on tap now. Looks more like a Porter or Brown ale. I followed the recipe above, as an all grain recipe. Then added 2.5kg blue berries and 1kg raspberries. super interesting beer. things to note: 1. 2 packs in 1.056, took fermentation to 1.011 after primary. 2. final gravity was 1.008...

    Lallemand Verdant IPA Ale

For those unaware. Mangrove Jacks have released a similar yeast to either this or the New England strain. I used it on the weekend in a variation of Hop Hands, to see the result. Will report back FYI the yeast is M66 Hophead Ale

    Lallemand Verdant IPA Ale

i had one that only went to 1.018 - was supposed to be 1.012-3-4.
  18. crusader1612

    Lallemand Verdant IPA Ale

I agree, but i don't think it's 3 OG points worth of hop creep (1 is normal for me at most).

    Lallemand Verdant IPA Ale

I was wondering the same thing. I just can't figure out what caused it, if anything. My calculations were all around 1.014 as a maximum, its just unfortunate i guess. i have a bunch of packs still, so can keep trying.

Any Lallemand Philly Sour feedback or experience to share?

anyone done something similar to this? https://www.themadfermentationist.com/2014/11/extract-sour-stout-on-blackberries-and.html My idea has been brewing for awhule, had the plan to do a kettle sour originally, and add fruit / dryhops. the idea being to dryhop with Styrian goldings. and use...
