    You have my attition, I'm looking at the same type of thing. I was going to go datalogger, but if these are accurate and work, they are MUCH cheaper. I googled USB thermometer and found several different, but none as nice as yours.

    I believe that it was a cold snap that did it, but I havn't looked into the fridge yet to confirm that something didn't happen there. I just got home last night, the beer was out and the fridge was unplugged that is a second batch of trouble shooting.

    *subscribed* I am also on the insulate the floor bandwagon. At the very least get a carpet or welcome mat from home depot/ lowes and put it down there (safer for your carboys too)
