    Brewer's Edge Mash & Boil

I had a wisenbag made for my M&B, will be replacing my brew in a bag for this friday's brew, also going to be ditching the inner kettle since the bag makes it redundant. Will let y'all know how it goes.

Split wort in 2 carboys, 2 results??

definately sounds like there was yeast in the goodbelly probiotics. Did you pitch one shot into each carboy? How fast did the fermentation take off in carboy 2? if it was in the first day or so, no way some minor random yeast from the airlock worked that fast. If it was over a matter of weeks...

Keg leak cost me 4 gallons of beer

I've had backflow issues when i've put higher (20-30 psi) pressure on the keg then dropped the pressure on the regulator. but to have 3-4 gallons you'd have to have the beer coming out of the beer input not the co2 input- that would have self limited at the length of the 3 inch tube at about a...

    Full Volume BIAB...Low Mash PH

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01G5BLJ20/?tag=skimlinks_replacement-20 I bought something similar to this for one of my kids science projects a year or two back. I tested it against the standards they sent and drinking water and it seemed fine. Didn't think i needed it, so i gave it to her science...

    Show us your Kegerator

Thanks, I originally built it with a 4x8 Oak Plywood top, so there would be 10-12" overhang on two sides to function more like a bar top, but it was way too big for our patio. So I just made the top the size of the Freezer top (I actually just shot nails through the wood directly into the top)...

    Came Across Free BevAir

I had the exact same bev air die on me a month ago. I had to check your location to see if it was the same one. I changed the relays and capacitor, but it was a leak in the coil outside. depending on your effort level, I'd think about mounting a little cheapo boat/rv ac unit (about $100) on top...

    c02 adsorption rate formula?

can't we have it figured out for a 5 gal corny keg? that's the standard vessel of choice around here. maybe just the ball lock kind to keep it precise and simple. I'm just surprised with all the math that's done on this site that it's still an educated guess on how long to carb and what...

    c02 adsorption rate formula?

I've seen the great chart that shows co2 equilibrium for a given volume of dissolved co2 at a particular temperature. What I'd like to know is whether there is a known adsorption rate of co2. For example at a given temperature (38 degrees F) and a given co2 desired (2.4 units dissolved co2) why...

    Zesty Summer Ale

looks very nice, i like the goldings. if you want to get a little fancier you can add corriander to it. Goes well with the orange zest. Let us know how it turns out.

    Need some help ...

I got my money on the tank to regulator connection. especially if it's on and off and that quick. nothing should have changed on the rest of your connections. amazing how much you really need that stupid cardboard washer they usually give you when you swap your tanks.

New Cider batch - 3 weeks in the making. What should I do now..

How's the clarity looking? I just threw my cider in the fridge this morning after 2 wks in primary. Its cloudier than the first, but this time i used "all natural" motts rather than the crystal clear stuff I used the last batch. I'm guessing it's gonna stay a little hazy. I'm not gonna bother...

    Malt No Hulls

I'd do side by side comparison in a one gallon mash and check the gravity against each other. I'm gonna guess you need 50% or less of pure malt. I'd assume you're doing biab, no way you'll get away with a decent sparge with no hulls at all. Or would you need to. Maybe it would be like using DME.

New Cider batch - 3 weeks in the making. What should I do now..

I'd say throw it in the fridge overnight to let it cold crash and clear, but not sure about priming and bottle carbing cider- i'm just doing cider in kegs.

Somebody call Coastal Living and put me on the cover

Don't forget to check fittings before installation for leaks. My only leak was the connector between the two regulators. Only took a little disassembly and new plumbers tape and I was back in action. :mug: I still need to figure out insulation in tower. I'm getting a fair amount of...

Somebody call Coastal Living and put me on the cover

Finally got the internals installed. I wanted a dual regulator external tank. One regulator is set at 12 psi (10 ft beer lines) and feeds the four kegs being served. The other regulator is set to 30 psi for force carbonation and then will adjust to 12 psi for storage. I added a 3 ft extension to...
