What I did for beer today

Soaked bottles in a tub of oxiclean to wash and remove labels. Preparing for bottling. Being proactive... Hooray!

    What to do with this?!?

A friend of mine gave me an awesome bottle and I would really like to use it for something other than decoration. The problem is it has a basket woven around it. Whats the best way to clean it? I can't very well soak it in oxiclean. I could carefully fill it with a solution and scrub with a...

    Midwest

I've always ordered from Midwest, so I can't really compare the actual products. However, I can say that I really like their kits and the prices are better. Shipping and yeasts seem the same but $1 for crushing grains and the kits from nb cost more

    Side-by-side refers?

No I haven't. Hell I haven't actually done anything kegerator related at all. But I have read a lot of post because I would like to build one. I've actually looked at keezer builds because chest freezers can hold around 4 kegs. If I'm going to build, I want to make it worth my while. But this...

    Peppers in an amber

Man they are great! Not a "drink all the time" beer, but yeah, great. Sierra Nevada makes a great cocoa mole but I've only had it in California. Haven't seen it around here. Ska brewing makes a tasty mole stout. Had a couple tonight... Mmm... Actually my love for peppers and wanting to put them...

What kind of brewer are you?

It's only scruffy for a few days, then it gets soft and they like to run their fingers threw it. Fact

    Peppers in an amber

Next brew I'm gonna do is the black dog ale from Midwest. I'll be doing the extract. Lately I've really been interested in beers brewed with peppers. So the question is when do you recommend that I add the peppers? In the fermenter? Right away or after a couple of weeks? (I only primary.) which...

    Buffalo Recipe

Got a local bar that makes some bangin wings and will add 3am if you ask. I gave the bar tender specific instructions to "f me up." When the wings came out, I sent them back and told the to do it hotter. Came out again and still weren't super hot (not that I'm superman. I think the kitchen guys...

    Man, I love Apfelwein

This may have been covered earlier in the thread (but I'm not going to read 722 pages). Is the ratio of ingredients linear? I'd like to make a batch but I don't want to tie up my fermenters. Can I just divide the ingredients by 5 and roll with it?
