This is exactly how I do it, and I have always wondered about the hotside aeration when I dump the contents of the bucket into the boilpot ...I mash in the basement with electric, and strike water is heated in the cooler using immersion heaters, but do the boil outside with gas ..

I agree...I have much smaller vessels, just grabbed the first flask (1 L) .. but I can't believe the yield ... I am doing a 1.5L tonight after decanting ... was thinking that 7L is the next step, but the big step will be the 20L on brew day ..approx 10x the 1.5L .. I just ordered the...

Had a Pranqster for Saturday, and saw yeast at bottom..figured I would go for it (I don't think tyou can but Pranqster yeast) made a 700ml starter with 70g DME ... Right now it is going strong ! I am planning to step this up to a 1.5L starter in a day or so Looking for good clone recipe...

We should get together ..I just got back into this ...6 mos hiatus..just cultured some Pranqster yeast from a father's day bottle .. going very well in starter, so I think I will be trying to clone the Pranqster

HI - I live in Windham, and have been to the place in Ludlow -- good beer / wine selection, and also decent homebrew supplies .very nice folks.... bought a 50lb bag of Breiss malt (they were surprised -- you want the whole bag ? ) .. have not been back bec I have not brewed in abt 3 mos..

A starter is a good idea for liquid yeast, and should give a shorter lag time..give it another day
