    So, I always invite homebrewers to my place here in Windham for some homebrewing on the Sunday of Columbus Day Weekend .. going to do it again this year, and you all are more than welcome to come ... I always do 2 batches, and mash in at 7..one all grain, one extract ...

    Looks like you are using a muck bucket to put the fermenter in .. I do the same in the winter...put the better bottle in the muck bucket, then set the aquarium heater for 68 ... works like a champ

    Going to do this again this week (bought anothe Pranqster ) ... but this time 100ML, then 500ML then 2L ... is this a reasonable stepping schedule ?

    Lucky day - Wound up there was 11 pouinds instead of 12. (new person at the HB shop .? No plm...I did a no sparge with 9 gallons (had room for a bit more .. got a little over 6 in the BK ... and a little under 5 at the end of boil ... I added 1/2 gal makeup water and have 5.5 in the Better...

    I have the water heating now on the porch -- looks like the rain/cloud situation in S VT has gone away ..good day to brew I am going to test the cooler today with the 12 lbs, and no mashout - just a straight no-sparge.. thank you all for your guidance on this ...looks like the cooler is...

    I just tried the Roasted Red tonight with some really good burgers..wife loves it ... I too enjoyed it , and will try to harvest whatever yeast goodness is at the bottom... Does anyone know what strain of yeast they use ?
