    CraftBeerPi - Raspberry Pi Software

May go then latter route with 12V, since it looks like CPB allows you to assign your choice of GPIO to the buzzer function.

    CraftBeerPi - Raspberry Pi Software

Would be interested in pricing at least. Would also be interested in knowing your BOM, as I am particularly curious as to your recommendations for the 1-wire terminals and the sound generator attached to GPIO25?

    CraftBeerPi - Raspberry Pi Software

Understood, I plan to initially populate only 3 12V (1 PWM + 2 hi/low) and 1 1-wire outputs. However, I still really like your jumper feature for anyone wanting to fully populate the board on initial build and then be able to reconfigure GPIOs 15, 18, 23 & 24 anytime later as desired.

@SHvanBommel, I like the more efficient layout. If you are going to make this layout or any bare boards available to others, you may want to explicitly label the I2C header itself, as well as the part number of the power buck, in the same font as "shutdown". Similarly, how about explicitly...

    DIY Brewing Controller

Have you thought about using something like one of these? http://www.auberins.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=7_32&products_id=580 http://www.auberins.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=7_32&products_id=586 Unfortunately Auber doesn't offer a 40A unit, but if you opt...

    The co2 "blanket"

Wow, this has me wondering about the permeability of the silicon gasket on my SsBT Chronical fermenter. Fortunately any effect for me would be tempered by primary durations of three weeks or less. I do my aging in kegs. Alt

    Portable GFCI Spa Panel

Not sure we are talking about the same receptacle. I am referring to installing a panel mount style receptacle directly on to the spa panel. This type is white or off-white and round. The main body is 2.05" diameter with a 2.88" flange.

    Portable GFCI Spa Panel

Bummer, if I go this route I guess I would put a L14-30R connector on the cable end instead of the outlet box - one less cable in the mix. Thanks for checking though.

    Portable GFCI Spa Panel

OK, that makes sense. I should have figured that out from your stated goal to be "Kal style" compatible. Appreciate the measurements when you get a chance.

    Portable GFCI Spa Panel

Thanks for posting this. I hadn't picked up on that particular panel before. I like that the housing is plastic, even if it is a bit more expensive than other spa panels. What are the dimensions of the flat surface where you choose to exit the box? I ask because I am trying to determine if...

    NEW StrangeBrew Elsinore Thread

Funny, I read the entire thread hoping I might answer this same question. Guess I should have worked backwards. This functionality is how I understand Auber's new EZBoil to operate in boil mode and what I would like to mimic. But with the EZBoil you would need to adjust several parameters on...

What Monitor to use for my BrewPi?RaspberryPi?

Do you have a tablet or smartphone which you could use to access the web interface on the RasPi? That's what I would do. You may also want to ask a moderator to relocate your thread to the Automation section. I suspect your question would get read over there by more people with BrewPi...

Chronical Fermenter by SS Brewing Technologies

:( No, that is a manual defrost model with the refrigerant coils built into the shelves. You want to look for an auto-defrost model with removable shelves.

    Will This Damage My Pump?

By restricting the flow at the valve on the out port of the pump, you reduce the flow of wort moving out of the kettle. Think about this way, if you close the valve completely the pump isn't moving any wort (except inside the pump head). The draw from the kettle will equal the flow out the...
