Fermentrack: Fermentation monitoring & BrewPi-www Replacement for Raspberry Pi

Yeah, that's not good or standard. Case sensitivity catches many a programmer!

Fermentrack: Fermentation monitoring & BrewPi-www Replacement for Raspberry Pi

You can do this in your router is it supports address reservations. The plus side is the router becomes the documentation of sorts and DNS resolution still works.

Fermentrack: Fermentation monitoring & BrewPi-www Replacement for Raspberry Pi

I'm glad to help in any small way. To be clear, I wrote the linked post after doing a bunch of investigation. I went looking on the RPI forum for help, found none and wound up answering my own question.

Fermentrack: Fermentation monitoring & BrewPi-www Replacement for Raspberry Pi

I had a similar issue, same pi model (3 B+ w/stretch). Took me three days to solve. See my post here. To fix it, run bluetoothctl and the command set-scan-filter-clear

What came in the mail for you today?

I did this about a year ago. Perfect way to scale out the RO system.

    Collecting Kegging Links & Info

After 5 years of brewing and bottling, I'm about to start kegging. (I know, the guys in my club think I waited too long, too.) I went to the sticky post for kegging and found 10 of the first 14 links were dead. perhaps it is time to build a new sticky post for the forum. If you all will...

It may be time to un-stick this thread. 10 of the first 14 links in the original post are dead.

Thanks for the link. I use the BG14s as well. Q: on a normal propane tank am I at low pressure?

    Aeration

For anyone new to brewing who reads this, here's my interpretation of when & why to aerate. o2 is needed to build up new yeast cells. If you limit the o2 available at the beginning of fermentation, you limit the amount of new cells that can be created from the yeast pitch. Given that, if you...

@pinchegil Can you tell us about the gas line connectors or post a link? I'm particularly curious about the burner end.

    Aeration

I almost always do a starter. I then Aerate by pouring my wort slowly through a strainer. It pulls out trub and aerates some.

You can change the number of sparge steps. Not sure why it defaults to 2.

    Getting started in 2018

Can't that be handled by averaging? For fermentation control, how much precision does one need? Beside, at the moment I have a probe taped to the outside. The Tilt is killing that for accuracy.

It is interesting. Do you know if I can use the Tilt temp info to control the fridge? I'd like to make use of the parts I already have if possible.

How about this - are there instructions for building BrewPi & Arduino using Legacy branch? I can't find them.

    Getting started in 2018

I was given a Tilt Hydrometer for Christmas and it got me excited about the BrewPi and logging temp & SG during fermentation. I picked up a RPI and Arduino and started playing around. But I'm finding that much of the build info is two plus years old and the Pi no longer supports Arduino. I've...

    Native Python BrewPi controller

I'm only trying to log data at this point, not control temps. Since I'm not running Arduino at his point, I loaded fuscus so the BrewPi script would run.
