    Too late to transplant?

Will it effect my harvest much if I move them now but keep as much soil around the roots as possible? I should be able to move them with out disturbing the soil they are in very much. I plan on cutting the buckets away and trying to keep everything intact, i hope.

    Too late to transplant?

I grew a few hop rhizomes last year in 5 gallon buckets using potting soil and they did great for 1st year plants. They were left outside all winter with the bines up. The bines were clipped down to the soil in late March. I have them all in the same soil as last year right now but want to...

Rogue Voodoo Bacon Maple Donut Beer?

Way more maple than bacon. I bought it thinking "hey, bacon!" No bacon flavor from what I perceived. I understand the bacon flavor is from the smoked grains and a touch of actual bacon but I didn't taste it. All sweet. Tastes like a maple glazed donut. Not that great in my opinion. Rogue...

Extract O.G. missed by a mile! HELP!

I created my own Pale Ale recipe using beer-calculus and missed my estimated O.G. of 1.051 by .020! I ended up with 1.071! I can't figure out what happened. I ended up adding another gallon post boil to bring it to 1.058. I do full boils starting with 6 gallons and boiling down to 5. Here is...

Wow! Thanks for the quick responses! I really appreciate it guys! I feel more confident about putting recipes together now. Like I said, I'm new to making recipes and I will have to just start brewing and see where I get, probably doing some formulation by hand just to be sure, dial it in as...

    Shipping charges?

It seems ordering is an art form in and of its self. I constantly consider whats available where and how exactly I should split up my order accordingly. I've done the same thing. I feel ya, brother. All I can suggest is to find a brew shop relatively near by and hope they have what you want...

How do you feel about Hopville?

If you'd like to see the recipes let me know and i'll post some links. I'm still working on the stout. I've never put together my own recipes and i've been working on them for the past two weeks or so. I brewed a bit over 100 gallons last year using kits and want to start my own recipes. I'm...

How do you feel about Hopville?

I've put together a few recipes using hopville and i'm wondering about the accuracy of the calculations. I was thinking about running the recipe numbers by hand and have used some other calculators with slightly varied results(brewmasterswarehouse, recipator, tried using beersmith can't figure...

    Extract Barleywine recipe questions

My buddy and I are putting together a Barleywine extract w/ specialty grains recipe and I wanted to post it and get some feedback and ask a few questions. We're still working on it but I just want to see if its heading in the right direction. It's the first time we've put a recipe together from...
