    anyone comment on dry hopping with motueka or Hull Melon? Have some of those and was thinking they might be good mixed with some citra, mosaic or galaxy... even Nelson Sauv. Thanks!

    I have heard that the wlp677 is pretty useless. Not sure if that's the delbrukii strain you used or not but the reviews on that lacto strain aren't very promising.

    If you were to do this, would you suggest Brett Brux or Brett C for ferment? Any good suggestions for hops? I was thinking Simcoe would be good possibly? Any thoughts on Hull Melon for this?

    Hi all, I pitched a vial of 655 early last month into a lambic type wort but I am wondering how complex it really will be by itself? Should I pitch some additional bugs or bottle dregs into it or will it turn out decent by itself? Anyone let it go by itself and have comments/feedback on it? Thanks!

    No, I forget where I read it, I just read that if you have constant fluctuations in temperature change that an S airlock could get air, and thus oxygen suck back, and I wanted to know how big of a temperature swing would be needed to create the suck back. which I don't think anyone has yet...

    Exactly! I would use a rubber stopper but I don't want to have it pop off when I'm not looking and not notice it for awhile!

    I did a BIG RIS which pooped out too early (around 1.050 and was hoping for around 1.030ish). I purchased a vial of the super high gravity yeast (wlp099) and want to grow up a starter and pitch at high krausen. Will a 1L starter with some yeast nutrient be good enough or should I do more...
