    Need recipe help

Probably loose the last golding addition and do 7 grams of the saaz at 2.9aa and maybe 7 or less of the herbruckers. Might be a little off, but rather to much than to little

    Priming Sugar

First off, Does it matter what sugar I use to prime with? And Second is there a scale or chart that gives me an idea of how much of certain sugars to use in my 5 gallon batches? I have a surplus of organic cane and turbinado sugar, thats why I ask.

    First Batch almost done?

The beer was most definately done fermenting, it was put in the Secondary with a gravity of 1.012. From what I've been reading, alot of ales will drop .001 or .002 in the secondary. Maybe from the sediment clearing.

    Plastic question.

I recieve alot of plasic 5 and 6 gallon buckets at my work. The buckets are used for foodstuffs and so on so I imagine it to be quality plastic. Just wondering what number plastic is need for brewing? I use a fermenting bucket, and a carboy for my secondary. If I can use these other buckets as...

    First Batch almost done?

The taste, in my opinion, is right on. Everything so far has gone according to plan. Simple first time brew. I don't want to rush it, but excitement abounds. Plan on taking another hydo reading on sunday, and if its the same, we are bottling.:rockin:

    First Batch almost done?

Anyways, my first batch ever has been sitting in its secondary for a week now. I siphoned out a small bit, using very steril precautions, just to see how its coming along. Initial gravity was 1.042, but that was about 77 degrees, so we will say 1.044. At the stage its at right now, the...

    Requesting some first brew advice

Yeah, it was foaming so much, I thought it might be rabid. I just took a hydrometer reading, and it read 1.012. Gave it a little taste, mmmmm. I'll check it the next couple of days, then transfer to my secondary if all stays the same. Color looks good, comparable to a Sierra pale, tad darker in...

    Requesting some first brew advice

Ok just to be clear, is that an additional 2 to 3 weeks, or 2 to 3 weeks total, and would it be wise to transfer to a secondary after 10 days, and leave it there for 2 weeks?
