I'm in the process of upgrading a burner setup, moving to high pressure. What size of orifice do I need to get the BG10 to burn clean?

DIY Coil Chiller - In the Wort or In the Cooler?

Yup, and it's 7 years old. Some of the information is definitely still relevant, especially the issues regarding cleaning copper with Starsan. My own experience with condensing coils makes me question the anecdotes about the inefficiencies of reverse chilling.

DIY Coil Chiller - In the Wort or In the Cooler?

Please excuse my ignorance, but how is it harder to clean the inside of an immersion chiller than a counter chiller?

DIY Coil Chiller - In the Wort or In the Cooler?

Which way would work better? Just thinking that much like a radiator it would be a lot quicker to circulate the wort through the wort through a chiller immersed in an ice bath rather than the other way around. Sort of like a counter chiller but for poor people ;)

    Tapping / Untapping Commercial Keg

I picked up a small keg for an upcoming family function (cause I ain't willing to share my good stuff ;) ) and I'm wondering if I can tap the keg use it, untap to transport and then retap? Just wondering because I'm pretty sure we won't drink the entire keg but I also don't want it to go to...

    Making a Custom Brew Bag

Hmm, I guess when I asked what materials do I need to this, and the response is 'buy a ready-made bag from my buddy'. Apparently, sewing is now rocket science.

Do you have a fridge with a window? What did you block it off with?

Not too sure what you're concerned about unless you have a bazillion grow lights, indoor ambient light from regular household lighting isn't an issue. Get rid of the foil, you don't need it.

    Need advice :) First Beer

The easiest way to minimize the risk is to ferment in place, ie. Put the carboy somewhere that it won't need to be moved. I'm lucky, so far I've been sticking to ales and I have a cool basement that makes it easy to control fermentation temperatures.
