    Well its been 3 weeks both cold and warm has pumpkin starchy flavor but the spice character is gone it was there week one but had no carb so I let it sit 2 more weeks. I put 1 table spoon as per recipe in the boil the another at bottle time. I don't know

    So my pumpkin Ale had taste last week and now it's gone. When I bottled it I added more spices to kick it up. I bottled in 22 Oz bottles. It seems the bigger bottles are hit and miss. Now it's just a little pumpkin taste, starch taste, And that's all. In the bottle 3weeks.

    i would not go back to the same place until after you get a new fill of gas. it that was the issue i would take a before and after sample and bring it to him for a refund and some type of reimbursement for the ruined beer. i mean mistakes do happen but you should get something out of it.

    Confused on Lautering

    from what i have read and watched then done, was to go slow the open it up. but your really just clearing the line of grain the first couple of qts. then you should be set to open her up. batch sparge is different then fly and you dont need set the grain bed.
