Simple Digital Brew Thermometer with Control Out

good luck with the tmp35's. I found them to be very accurate on the breadboard but worthless soldered onto the end of a 5' cable. I got so much noise it was reading +/- 30 degrees F. I ended up buying one wire sensors and found them to work much better. Good luck.

    Netdunio + oneWire temp monitoring

Yeap, Im not sure how far down the rabbit hole i want to go with this. The netduino is the .NET version of the auduino and i think its possible to have these microcontrollers manage pid controllers and fully automate things. I just dont think Im going to want to go that crazy. These charts...

    Netdunio + oneWire temp monitoring

I'm finishing up a project that involves a Netdunio, some one wire temp sensors, a wifi adapter, highcharts.js, and jquery. The goal is to have a pretty web interface for monitoring my brewstand temps. I'm pretty pumped because I just got everything wired, soldered, and coded. So far I'm...

    Netduino controller issues

The DS18B20's are awesome, should have gone digital to start. Ill post a thread when I'm done. My hardware is all assembled just working on the code. Got it to join my lan and serve a basic html page with 4 temps on it, but im going to have it serve JSON so i can use this JS library...

    DIY temp probes with DS18B20

you dont need thermal paste if you go with the brewershardware probe ends. The sensors fit snuggly into the probes without much room between the sensors and the probe wall, i just built four of these senors in a netduino project last week. I used 3 10" probes and 1 4" probe. I would go with...

How bad of an idea is this? PVC for burner leg extensions

Just make sure your home insurance covers pvc / turkey fryer accidents. Sorry but if everyone was telling me that something wasn't a good idea, i would at least pause and consider it... I don't understand why you wouldn't just use a safer method. There isn't much cost in buying blocks... As...

    Arduino, now what?

I found this to be very true. I tried using LM35 temp sensors, the readings were fine on the bread board but once i put them on the end of a 7' cable they picked up so much noise that the readings were +/- 30 degrees F. I would go straight to the one wire sensors. You can get them off of...
