Yeah I used S 05 pretty much all the time and I never got the sand collor yeast growing on the carboy walls. I must be the irish ale yeast.

I is two different recipe and this is the first time I did them too... And at a this point in my brewing experience, I dont think I can identify the taste of a particular yeast in two different recipe.

I'm using oxy san too. You have to mix it well with the right amount of water in a bucket and then transfer it in the carboy. It always leave some residue at the bottom of the bucket, if you mix it directly in the carboy these residue will stick to the bottom.

It's not smelling like bananas at all, not tasting either :( My fermentation was done between 70-72 it was probably tow low :(
