Yes the syringe full, very much like molasses. I've used it in a regular boil kettle without issue, but in the Z it left a pool of goop an a thin film over everything.
did not get to brew this weekend. Assembled some furniture for the youngest's room, did not think something could be more aggravating than Ikea furniture. but after the first one it wasn't so bad.
I've mainly used Pellets, the hop Hash is similar to pellets just broken up.
you can use whole hops, just can't fit as much in there, not sure if you get the same efficiency.
I have 3 5 gallon barrels from here, love them.

Looks like all they have is the 15 gallon rye at the moment
I've used hop shots a few times w/ my 60 min addition and it works great.:ban:
However I would not use them in the Picobrew Zymatic.
Correction - I would not use them again in the Zymatic. what a sticky mess.:(
The Hop Hash does not have as strong of an aroma as I thought it would, but still delicious.
Some have reported if you make a tincture w/ ethanol (or moonshine) the aroma is released.
Hop hash is a concentration of lupulin glands taken off the pellet machines; it contains a lot more of the good stuff, without all the vegetal mass.
From what I heard and how it smells/tasts, the Yakima Valley hop hash Is Centennial.

Although the Zymatic was designed around 2.5 gallon batches, most of the 60+ I've done on mine have been 3.5 gallon. and I love it. you can also do high OG 2.5 and then add water to your desired Gravity/ batch size.
