The $129 simple non AC glycol chiller

This is awesome! I'm planning on running kegerator lines from my basement up to the kitchen down the line and I've been toying with ideas for keeping the lines cool. This looks like it will fit the bill really nicely for that.

    Electric heating element

You can do a single element for a 5 gallon batch, but to reduce times a lot of people use 2 elements or a single submerged element and an induction cook top. They key with a setup like this is both elements must be plugged into outlets on separate circuits. For mounting elements in your kettle...

Just Ordered - Brew Buddy II 50a from Auber

Couldn't you use a big counter flow chiller and slowly gravity feed your wort through while relying on city/well water pressure for the heat sink. With a properly sized chiller and the right flow rates you should be able to knock it down low enough in a single pass for the fermentation chamber...

    Beer Storage

If you have room to keep it in the keezer I'd put it in there with some gas on it.

Is SS Brewtech introducing an eBIAB system?

Yeah, that's all I need, but if the SS brewtech system appeared to be an improvement at a slightly higher cost then I would have considered it. I'm not one to lock in on only one design.

Is SS Brewtech introducing an eBIAB system?

That's gonna be a pass from me dog.

Is SS Brewtech introducing an eBIAB system?

Yeah, I don't see a whirlpool/recirculation port on the kettle but it could be hiding. I think the fixed analog thermometer is more redundant that I need on a setup that has a digital readout on both which will drive the cost up. Honestly, if the controller is priced around 500 with independent...

Is SS Brewtech introducing an eBIAB system?

Oh man, I've been waffling between buying a High Gravity 2 vessel system (minus the control panel and swapping in a Auber Brew Cube) with a couple modifications or building a similar system myself. I'm really interested to see how their price and functionality compares with the 2 vessel system...

    Auber Instruments CUBE - Review

What spa panel did you use? I was planning on using a 50A spa panel for a different build, but I'm changing things up to use this controller and I'm wondering if that is overkill.

Boil Kettle Placement in Electric System

If you don't mind the extra cost and setup you could always hard pipe the lines (or the horizontal runs at least) and insulate them. Probably more trouble than it's worth though.

    Show us your Kegerator

Every now and then I get a little leak, but no big problems. I hit the threads with some thread tape before I screw the caps on. Edit: I suck at forums. I meant to reply to the poster asking about the liquid in the yeast vial tap handles.

    Show us your Kegerator

Yup, they're yeast vials and I pour my final gravity sample into them to show what's on that tap.

Hey guys, its been a while since I've posted anything here but I thought you might like my latest piece of work. There's a bit of a build gallery I can post if anyone is interested.

    Conan Yeast Experiences

It sure did. My keg kicked last night. It was a sad time.

    Conan Yeast Experiences

I fermented a Pliny the Elder clone on Conan from a can culture recently. I called the brew The Bastard Son, came out great. I rinsed some of the yeast from the trub (there were a lot of hops that needed rinsing)and stepped it up. Now I've got a batch of Zest Bomb on there. I'm excited to see...

    Hop Scented Candles

Bumping this for more info. Has anyone tried this recently? I'm thinking of making hop scented candles out of empty Heady Topper cans. Originally I was just going to play with different proportions of citrus and pine scented candle oils but if anyone has experience with straight hops scents id...

    Holy Furious Fermentation Batman!!

Man the last time I had a fermentation like that I didn't catch it soon enough and the stopper blew out of the carboy. I ended up losing 1.5 gallons easy but it turned out to be an amazing brew. Hope yours turns out well too!

So tell me if youve seen this before...

Don't know if the picture worked, I can't see it but I'm on the mobile app so that might be it. I'm glad you guys say its nothing, I've just never seen that much stucff come out of solution so fast. I tried stirring it back in but that only lasted a few minutes. Its in a closet with a blow off...

So tell me if youve seen this before...

I brewed up a pale ale today and did all the normal things, used DME per the recipie and Irish moss for the first time. Because my wort chiller is missing I racked cold water on top of the wort and shook it up a bit. I came back to it to see if it was ready to pitch the yeast and it looked like...
