    Ok, I got the yeast pitched and waiting for it to do it's thing. I did check the specific gravity before pitching the yeast and it was 10.40 so it looks like I'm on track there. I guess we'll see how it goes. More waiting :rockin:

    Yes I have I am using the airlock now but will change it out for a blow off tube if the fermentation warrants it.

    What I did for beer today

    Brewed my first batch today ! Canadian Blonde (Coopers Extract) Figured I would make my first brew as simple as possible. It's sitting in the sink in ice and water just waiting for it to cool enough to pitch the yeast. I hope it turns out good. :mug:

    Swamp Cooler as in..... a tub of water to set the fermenter in and then put a t-shirt over it to wick the moisture up on the fermenter ?? and maybe a fan ? ?

    I know the extract is the Canadian Blonde for my first brew and the local brew shop gave me some additional LME to add to it. As for the Yeast I am not sure of the exact one but the local brew shop did give me a specific yeast for that particular LME but I will look when I get home from work...
