Converting old Sanyo Mini Fridge Question

I bent one of these and it was fine. However i went back and tried to bend it a little bit more and it sprung a leak very fast and ruined the fridge. So be careful. It can easily get a pinhole and leak out on you.

    Need corona grain mill tips

I would recommend gaping the mill with some washers to get a proper crush. I forget what the recommended gap is but you want to be careful to not shred your husks to much.

    Cold crashing

I like cold crashing and leaving it cold for kegging or bottling. The yeast cake seems to stay more compact when its cold and is less likely to get sucked into your keg or bottling bucket.

    5cf Keezer Build

Hey allen00se, Can you clarify the wiring you did here? I am using the same freezer and I am trying to hack into the wiring that runs into the stock controls there and connect it to my temp control. Indicating which wire are which would help me out as I am not to experienced with hacking...

adding salts based on Brewsmith water tool

This is probably what I did wrong then. I used 10.5 as the water volume, not realizing that it will (mostly) all end up in the kettle minus whatever get left in the mash.

adding salts based on Brewsmith water tool

Yea, when putting the Burton numbers in most calculators, they show it to be too high and would cause over bittering. But my previous numbers from Beersmith were way high.

adding salts based on Brewsmith water tool

Hey all, I plugged in the numbers to Beersmith using Burton on Trent as a target profile (for an imperial IPA) and the amounts the software suggests I add are as follows: Gypsum 36.1 grams Epsom 22.7 CaCl 1.8 Baking Soda 9.8 Chalk 8.0 I am just learning about water...

    dry hopping confusion

Hey all, So i am having some confusion with regard to dry hopping. I have been researching the matter and came to the conclusion that dry hopping toward the end of primary fermentation seems like a good idea to drive off oxygen in the pellet hops and from opening the fermentor to add the...

    New stirplate Qs

Or better yet put the flask in the fridge overnight before you intend to use it. All the yeast will go to the bottom. Pour off the spent wort and pitch just the yeast slurry. That way you will not have to worry about any off flavors in the starter. Remember to let it warm up out of the fridge...

Can you Brew It recipe for Lagunitas Little Sumpin Sumpin

I brewed this one over this past weekend. Only my 3rd brew attempt but I feel good about it except that I ended up short on volume. I only ended up with 4.5 gallons at the end of boil. Gravity was right on though at 1.070. My question is should i adjust dry hopping for the lesser volume? if so...
